240p menu question

Post by mR_CaESaR » Tue Mar 27, 2018 1:29 am

Was wondering if someone can help - I'm almost 90% sure I read it somewhere, but for the life of me I can't find the comment any more (not sure if it was klov, aussie arcade but I'm sure I read a comment that has the same issue).

Whenever I chose "low res vertical", my menu appears correct, ie. the wheel art shows up where they are meant to be and are lined up correctly (but the flickering is doing my head in being 480i)

The moment I stick to 240p, the flickering is gone, however, the menu seems way out of place

Is there a config I need to edit either in the layout.nut of my display or is there a global file I need to edit so my menu wheels line up?

I've seen that layout but for some reason I can't find it. If you want to post it here I can take a look.

Essentially you're going to have to cut the X and Y size of the images in half... plus you're going to have to re-locate the wheel ... likely but cutting the X and Y located coordinates in half.

At 640x480 the nut file posts the correct size and position wheel... cut that in half it's still programmed to put that wheel at the same coordinate and at the same size (unless the programmer was better than I am (likely) and programmed it to adjust based on the size of the layout....(likely not).

:D

It's inside the default image.

It's called vertical cave (or something like that)
