OK, so I bought a 256GB micro SD to play with. I currently have a 128GB image for my horizontal system that I have been working on built with the 128GB card. If I image the 256GB card with the 128GB card... it will work fine. If I then attempt to expand the usable space on the 256 card using the method I've always used (as described on my website) using Partition Magic.... it breaks the card. It will load to the ARPICADE logo... it'll go black... then the NOW LOADING comes up where it sits... forever (and if you use the keyboard you can see a mini screen you can type in at the top left with the right key pushes). I've done this 5 different times trying different things like leaving 500 megs of unallocated space at the end... 2GB of space... etc. None worked. Every time I can load the image in ... it will work... as soon as I use Partition Magic to expand... it breaks it. I've tried verifying the card (it finds error then fixes them)... to no avail. Basically it bricks the card.
SO ... I figure what the heck... I'll try to install the actual "original" package from Dee2er rather than my own image... again... keep in mind that my image works if left alone... and when I install Dee2er's original package... it works (as expected)... I then move the linux partition to the end of the card and expand the usable space for the boot drive as I always do and...
IT WORKED?!?
What?
Anyway... I am now going through the whole rigamarole of updating... moving roms... etc... etc... etc... that i could have saved time doing if my image would work (when expanded). I have zero clue as to why this behavior is exhibited but I can re-create it over and over... and yeah... I'm currently copying ROMS... previews... etc... etc... and then it's back to the thread here to go through it to make the man edits within.

Ah... such is life.
EDIT: 256GB card populated and still working.
