Re: ARpiCADE 3.82 Release!
Thanks for the info dee2er! My suspicions were correct about the read only directory. I'm surprised I couldn't find any posts about console emulators being in a read only directory. I guess that means there must not be any significant demand for console save states so perhaps not worth your time to ...

Re: ARpiCADE 3.82 Release!
Loving my Arpicade so far - have installed one in both my vertical and horizontal cabs. I'm learning a ton about the nuances of the hardware and different mame versions. I've installed a spinner on my vertical cab and a trackball on my horizontal. I feel like a kid in the early 80's at the arcade ag...

Re: New Arpicade won't boot - static lightning bolt
Thanks braveblue! Yeah, I got that sorted with just a little digging.
Yes, I feel confident I can help others out now and will definitely be recommending Arpicade to others in my nerd circle

Re: New Arpicade won't boot - static lightning bolt
Well it was a great, if not frustrating, learning experience. Had it worked out of the box, I wouldn’t have had my whirlwind lesson on RPi, Linux and the nuance of Arpicade. Btw - amazing product. I’ve been waiting years for something like this. I’m dumping my crappy xxx in 1 products. With the exce...

Re: New Arpicade won't boot - static lightning bolt
Thanks for letting me type it out to order the issues
In the end I just needed release 3.82 to be compatible with the RPi 3B+. If you get the package kit from HSS - it won't work. Strange and a bit disappointing how much research and loops I had to jump through to figure that out.

Re: New Arpicade won't boot - static lightning bolt
Imaged 3.82 and it works!!!!
Just gotta copy my ROMS over to the new card. One issue, though - my card is imaged at 4GB but it is a 64GB card - how do you open up the 60GB? I'm just not sure how to do this in linux?

Re: New Arpicade won't boot - static lightning bolt
Follow up - I just imaged Arpicade 3.811 and that one won't boot either. Do I need to do something else after imaging the Arpicade distro before it will boot? Is this an issue with the RPi 3B+? Jeese, this is so frustrating...

Re: New Arpicade won't boot - static lightning bolt
Thanks so much for the advice! Well - I know it is not a hardware failure. When I image the latest rasperian stretch with desktop, I can boot! When I image the Arpicade 3.7 directly from the site - I cannot boot, I get the same PWR flashing LED. Hmm - just not sure what to do from here. If I can boo...

New Arpicade won't boot - static lightning bolt
Hello! Firstly, I am completely new to rpi, so keep that in mind. My tech level is high, though (I repair pinball machines and arcade cabinets/PCBs). So I purchased the Arpicade complete kit from Highscoresaves and installed into my JAMMA cab. I ordered the RPI 3B+ with the 64GB card preloaded with ...
